Tour Information

Eligibility; The Edwin Watts Tour provides competition to  any amateur golfers who are active members of the Edwin Watts Tour or any member of an affiliated Keller Williams Amateur Golf Tour.

Format: 18-hole  stroke play..  Players  compete in flights at all tournaments.  Only  gross scores count.  Flights are as follows:

Handicaps: Handicap cards are preferred, but other adequate proof will be accepted.  There can be no falsifying of scores.  Sandbaggers will be moved to the next flight at the tournament director’s discretion.   Prizes may be forfeited.

Rules of Golf: Play will be governed by the Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA.  Personal appearance must conform to the dress code at each tournament venue.  Softspikes are required at most courses.  Proper golf etiquette is required at all times.

Pace of Play: Most courses have a Pace of Play clause in our agreements.  In general, we expect each group to average no more than 15 minutes per hole (a 4.5 hr. round).  We will make every attempt to adhere to this policy.

Prizes: Prizes are funded from player entry fees.  The purses are dependant on the number of players in each flight.  Prize payout is posted prior to each event.  Gift certificates and other merchandise are awarded in each flight.  Ties for any prizes are broken according to the USGA recommendations.

National Team Cup—a traveling team trophy
National Title—awarded to individual winners in each flight

Membership: Membership for this year is $100.  Members are entitled to play in any AGT event in the United States.

Membership Benefits: National affiliation with the egolf Amateur Tour, National Championship opportunity; play on the finest courses;  Rules of Golf book; optional skins games, and more.

Deadlines/Withdrawls: Due to advanced tee time reservation policies at our host clubs, the Local Director MUST receive all entry fees at least 10 days prior to an event (Some events fill up sooner).  Any entries made after this date are on a space available basis and may carry a $10 surcharge.  Tournament entry fees include course fees, range balls, and prizes.  Withdrawls may be made at least three days in advance without penalty.  Fees will be transferred to another event.  Friday withdrawls incur a $20 charge (remaining fees may be transferred).  No shows receive no refund for any reason.  There is a $20 charge for checks returned for any reason.

National Championship : A year end 36 hole stroke play event with individual and team competition is held each fall.  To be eligible you must play in at least three events and be one of the top point winners in your flight. This year, the top ten from each flight will receive invitations to the event in Hilton Head, SC.  The Senior National Championship is played in Pinehurst, NC.

Seniors & Women Flights: Separate flights will be available for seniors (age 50 & up) and women at all events provided that there are a minimum of four players qualified for such flights. Seniors may choose to compete in both Regular & Senior flights for added entry fee.
